He is survived by wife, Annelle; brother, Jack Ledford; and nephew, Paul Ledford and wife, Lindsay, of Baton Rouge, LA; nephew, Thomas Ledford of Lynchburg, VA; niece, Susan Galati, of Westport, CT; stepsons, Brent Owens and wife, Genny of Williamsburg, VA, Steve Owens and wife, Susan of Johnson City, TN; and granddaughters, Alyssa, Claire, and Joanne Owens, who think he was a "really cool" grandpa. Six great nieces, one great nephew, and also a host of friends will miss him.
Bill was born January 15, 1923 in San Antonio, TX, a graduate of Central Catholic High School and St. Mary's University.
He was in the Army Signal Corps during World War II and served in the Southwest pacific area.
During his employment years, he worked as an accountant in the Oil and Gas Industry in South America and Texas, retiring from the Suburban Propane Co. in San Antonio.
He enjoyed many years as a member of the San Antonio Power Squadron.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or San Pedro Presbyterian Church.
