William G. McGuire

William G. “Bill” McGuire born February 12, 1952 passed away December 22, 2010. He was preceded in death by his son Matthew McGuire and grandson Jakob McGuire, maternal grandparents Col. Cephas W. and Mary Gary, paternal grandmother Fe Davis and Uncle Cephas W Gary II. He is survived by his wife Jackie Copeland McGuire, daughter Amanda McGuire, his parents Bruce and Eileen Gary Robertson, his sister Debbie King and numerous other family members who cherished him. Bill was a great fun-loving man and always had a smile on his face. He always found joy in everyone and in everything he did. He loved hard work, woodworking and making gifts for his family members. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his backyard and Barbeque. He also enjoyed sports, golf, football and basketball, especially the Longhorns, Cowboys and the Spurs. One of Bill’s proudest accomplishments was obtaining his Geology degree from UTSA. Bill was kind to everyone he met. His attitude was positive through years of his heart illness and rarely complained. He was able to benefit from many medical miracles. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. We want to thank his physicians, nurses and his caregiver, Simon Arriaga for their constant care. There will be a Memorial Mass on December 28,2010 at 11:00am at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 102 Lorenz Rd. San Antonio, TX. 78209.
