
He was preceded in death by his mother Adelia Peacock and step-father Morris A. Peacock of San Antonio. Bill served in the US Army from 1944 to 1946 earning two Bronze Stars and three service bars for his central European tour during World War II.
Bill earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Oklahoma A&M University and was a civil engineer with Exxon Corporation until his retirement in 1985.
Bill is survived by his wife, Mary Helen Devine Pinner of San Antonio; nephew, Patrick Judy Devine and son, Stephen of Kyle; niece, Mary Kathleen Clete Aycox and daughter, Lori Jeff Martin of Dallas; and niece, Marianne Tony Crain and daughter, Amy Smith, also of Dallas. Also surviving are special friends Valerie Micky Redus of Baytown; Vonda Ben Miller and Brian Leigh Coufal of Kingsville; and Charles Keeling and Gary Eddins of Canyon Lake.
The family would like to especially thank Christus VNA Hospice and the University of Incarnate Word Retirement Center for their dedicated and loving care extended to Bill.
A reception celebrating Bill's life will be held after the services at the George W. Brackenridge Villa on the campus of Incarnate Word University, San Antonio
