

He attended Texas A and M University and served as First Lieutenant, United States Air Force, World War II. Mr. Roegelein was District Commander of the San Antonio Power Squadron and District Commander of District 21, United States Power Squadrons, Texas and the Western Half of Louisiana and National Officer in the U. S. Power Squadrons.
He was formerly Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Roegelein Company, which was sold in 1981. Mr. Roegelein was President of San Antonio Manufacturing Association, Alamo Kiwanis Club, and San Antonio 100 Club. He was Vice President of Cerebral Palsy Association of Bexar County, and Texas and Southwest Meat Packers Association. He was Director of Bexar County National Bank, Republic National Bank of San Antonio, First Republic Bank, San Antonio, San Antonio Livestock Exposition, San Antonio Area Girl Scouts Council, Alamo Area Boy Scouts Council, Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, San Antonio Botanical Society and San Antonio Manufacturing Association. Mr. Roegelein was a member of Oak Hills Country Club and Ingleside Beach Club.
Bill was an avid fisherman, powerboat enthusiast, bird hunter, orchid grower and chef. But most of all, he was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather and friend!
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette and his brother, Lawrence Rogelein. Survivors: daughters, Carol Lee and husband Richard, Galveston, TX and Ellen Chavez and husband Rigo, El Paso, TX; sister, Grace Spalten and husband Ed of San Antonio; grandchildren, Robert Clore, Corpus Christi, TX, James Clore and wife Lynn, Galveston, TX, Melisa Plesant and husband Mauricio, Chihuahua, MX, Carolina Pinto, San Diego, CA, Juan Pinto, Berkeley, CA; great grandsons, Benjamin Clore and William Clore, Galveston, TX Mauricio Plesant, and Eduardo Plesant, Chihuahua, MX.
Pallbearers: Robert Clore, James Clore, Juan Pinto, Tom Butler, Bill McEntire and Ed Spalten.
