Bill is survived by his sons, Trevor, Derek, Jordan and Christian; grandchildren, Pagan, Savannah, Allison, Quentin and Orion; siblings, Alvin, John, Joe, Teresa, Sanda and Christina; and wife, Lisa.

If you know Bill, you know that it is impossible to capture all his wonder in a few words. As our family gathers to celebrate his life, here are just a few of his brilliant qualities as a loving and caring human that we will carry with us forever.

Bill Rogers was truly like no other in every way. While he was a brilliant scholar and could converse on any topic, he was perhaps more importantly loving, kind, imaginative, musical, generous, caring, strong yet gentle, and oh so funny. Beyond these many qualities, he had an incredible gift to be able to talk to anyone he would meet and immediately find common ground, connect meaningfully and make a new best friend … if even just for the moment. Bill embraced all people and tried to be a champion for those in need, without any judgement. He also saw the best in everyone, and tried to help them see that for themselves. Bill found joy in everything that he did and shared that joy with others. Simple moments, especially with his family, were precious moments in his mind. Our family will all strive to be a bit more like Bill every day and keep his memory and essence flowing in this world. Sweet dreams to our gentle giant.
