He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII, and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.
Bob was a man of integrity and high standards, never asking more of others than what he was willing to give himself. He was a great adventurer - always interested in what lay ahead and over the next hill. He loved people, great and small, and particularly relished the time spent with family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Margaret Owenby Wakefield; daughters; Alta Wisdom (Ernie), Susan Wagar (Stephen), son; Mark Wakefield (Terri), grandchildren; Emily Caitlyn Wisdom, Jacob Robert Wisdom, Sarah Constance Wakefield, Hannah Jayne Wagar, Alexander Wakefield Wagar; step grandchildren: Eric Wisdom; Stacy Newberry, step great granddaughter; Desarae Newberrry.
He was deeply loved and we will carry his memory in our hearts.
