William R. Yates

After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Beckley, West Virginia in 1954, Bill attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. He joined the Air Force and was stationed in Texas where he met Mary Ann whom he married prior to being sent to Paris, France. Upon serving four years, he returned to San Antonio where he was a mechanical contractor for Shafer Plumbing and Heating, Inc. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, feeding deer and all other kinds of wildlife, but most of all he loved spending time with family (especially his grandchildren & great-grandkids).

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Yates, and his sister, Connie Yates.

Bill is survived by his sons, Victor Yates and wife Sheri, Mark Yates and wife Christine, Patrick Yates and wife Michelle; brother, Richard Yates and wife Mary Alice; grandchildren, Jacob, Cody, Sean, Shauna, Caitlynne, Brittney and Brooke; and great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Mackynzie and Caiden.
