Wilburn "Willie" M. Kitchen born on July 10, 1919 in San Marcos, Texas entered into rest on October 20, 2011 in Floresville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 70 years, Dazelle "Daisy" E. Kitchen.
Willie is is survived by his daughters, Gerry Avallone and Greg Chitwood, Diana Spencer and husband Fred, and Maurine Carver and husband Will; son, William M. Kitchen; grandchildren, George Vasill Jr., Melissa Robertson, Jared Rosckes and wife Cindy, Crystal Carle, Alicia Kitchen Wall and husband Schuyler and Serena M. Kitchen; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, Landon, Carson and Brayden; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 5-9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arms of Hope, 21300 State Highway 16N, Medina, Texas 78055.
