Wyatt Gage Rittimann, affectionately known as Wy by those who knew him best, and for his unwavering kindness, friendliness, and loving nature, embarked on his grandest adventure yet, leaving this world for the great beyond on May 24, 2024, just days after celebrating his ninth birthday. Born on May 21, 2015, in San Antonio, TX, to loving parents Jordan and Katy Rittimann, Wyatt was a shining star from the very start, bringing joy and laughter to everyone lucky enough to be around him. His vibrant blue eyes and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Wyatt is survived by his devoted parents, Jordan and Katy Rittimann; his protective and caring brother, Waylon; his loving grandparents, Charlie and Anna Neill, and Becky Rittimann; as well as his adoring aunts and uncles, Jacob and Bekah Rittimann, Clint Neill, and Sara Foster. His joyous spirit will also be profoundly missed by his cousins, Charlize Foster and Avery Rittimann, who shared in his adventures and dreams.
Wyatt was a third grader at Scarborough Elementary School, where he was an empathetic friend to those around him and his friendly demeanor made him a favorite among his peers and teachers alike. He received numerous pillars of character awards and had the most amazing cursive handwriting. He loved baseball in any form, whether he was watching it, playing it, or practicing for it. Baseball fields were his battlefields, where he showed sportsmanship and teamwork, always encouraging his teammates and displaying an unwavering love for the game. His unique, contagious laugh was unforgettable, and his love for the sport was equaled only by his fondness for stylish kicks. Boy, did he have style!
When he wasn't hitting dingers or strutting in his latest sneakers, Wyatt loved to be outdoors. Hunting and fishing were more than hobbies; they were the threads that wove countless cherished memories with family and friends. Wy also had a keen eye for arrowhead hunting, a pursuit that allowed him to connect with his dad. Hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, target shooting, long range shooting, practicing with his bow—you name it, he did it. His passion for cars was also unmatched, only next to his Papa. Cobras, Ferraris, Corvettes, GT-40s—he could rattle off stats about these machines like a seasoned auctioneer, leaving you wondering if he was a nine-year-old boy or a veteran car enthusiast.
The Rittimann household was always filled with laughter, thanks in no small part to Wyatt's laugh and silly nature. He had a knack for delivering one-liners that would make even the sternest of faces crack a smile. Wyatt was that rare kind of kid who could lighten the mood just by walking into it. You always knew Wyatt’s thoughts as he wore his emotions on his sleeve.
Those who knew Wy would say he was the epitome of love in its purest form. His friendly greetings would brighten the gloomiest of days, and his kindness was a beacon that drew people to him. Wyatt's ability to love unconditionally and his genuine concern for others were remarkable traits that defined his life. In his nine years, Wyatt lived a thousand lifetimes worth of memories. He approached every day with the kind of enthusiasm that would exhaust a superhero, and he loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and embraced every moment with open arms. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made on the world was immense.
To say Wyatt will be missed is an understatement. He was the heart and soul of every gathering, the laughter in the wind, and the twinkle in the night sky. Let's remember him not with sadness but with the joy he would want us to feel. After all, in Wyatt's world, every moment was an opportunity for a laugh or a warm hug.
Wyatt Gage Rittimann, you were a shooting star that lit up our lives with your brilliant wit and boundless love. While you are off on your next adventure, the echoes of your laughter will resonate forever. Keep the angels entertained, kiddo, and save us a front-row seat for when we meet again.
Wy's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the community for the love and support shown during this difficult time. The cherished memories and moments spent with Wyatt will remain in their hearts forever, a testament to the remarkable young boy who, in his own special way, made the world a better place.
