Our mom was not just a mother to us, but a mother to all. The moment you walked into her home you were greeted with “Tienes hambre, que tienes ganas de comer”. Whether she knew you for years or for the first time, she accepted you with open arms and an open heart. Mom was very devoted to her Catholic faith and taught her children and grandchildren to follow in her footsteps. She would pray the rosary everyday at noon and we all knew not to interrupt. We were always taught to move forward despite life’s obstacles and to have faith. Her home was her sanctuary and believed in the simplicity of life, such as looking outside her window to make sure her birds were fed. She will always be in our hearts and live within our memories. We leave you all with these final words that echoes our mother’s remembrance. “ Dejame bendecirte antes de que te vayas…Que Dios Te bendiga”.
On behalf of the entire Estrada family we appreciate everyone who wishes to join us for the celebration of the life of our mother, Yolanda G Estrada. As we are all too well aware, we are living in some very strange times and the COVID-19 virus has impacted so many facets of our lives including funerals. To that point, we are extremely limited in our ability to accommodate all of you that want to pay your respects and show your love and appreciation for our mother.
There is a scheduled viewing for Thursday that we are limited to immediate family only and a church ceremony and burial on Friday that is also limited to immediate family. We apologize to all of you that wish to attend but these restrictions must be adhered to without exception. All services will be live streamed for your family and our families’ protection. https://www.facebook.com/SunsetNorthwest
We have been granted limited access on Saturday, August 29th from 9-11AM for anyone who wishes to come and pay their respects at the burial site. A family member will be available, and we ask that you limit your visit so that everyone gets the opportunity to say their last good byes. There will never be a replacement of personal interaction; however these options for expressing condolences and showing support will assist family members and friends. It is of utmost importance that you all understand that as much as we want to receive your love and affection, the COVID-19 virus strictly prohibits us from any hugging or touching of any kind especially to the most aggrieved, our father Benny Estrada.
Again, we apologize for these most unusual circumstances but know that we so very much appreciate the love you all have for our very dear mother.
Social distancing and face mask are required.
