

Yvonne lived a long, full, and loving life centered around family, faith, and community. She grew up with a strong sense of devotion to those she cared for, a legacy she carried throughout her entire lifetime. In Elmendorf, where she made her home for many years, she became known as a warm, welcoming, and spirited presence whose kindness touched all who knew her.
Yvonne married the love of her life, Henry O. Peterson, and together they shared 40 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with laughter, dedication, and countless memories made with their large, blended family.
Yvonne was a cherished wife, mother, stepmother, and mother-in-law, and sister. She is remembered with love by her children and stepchildren: , Christopher Bates, Brian Bates, Henry L. Peterson, Bill Peterson, , Kelli Bates Peterson Denyer, Mary Wigley, Dianne Peterson, and Laura Peterson Rice. She is also fondly remembered by her daughters-in-law, Ann Peterson and Linda Miles, and her sons-in-law, Melvin Denyer, Wade Peterson, her sister; Beatrice Asfeld (Glenn), and her step brother; Joseph Wade Demariano(late wife; Mary Demariano).
Yvonne was blessed with a large family and took tremendous pride in each generation. She leaves behind 48 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy into her life.
Yvonne reunites in heaven with her, beloved sons; Howard Miles, Tim Miles, and Thomas Peterson, her son-in-law; John Wigley; as well as her siblings; Alvey, Alva Busch, and her step brother; Jerry James Fields(late wife; Sue Fields)
Family was truly the center of Yvonne’s world. She cherished spending time surrounded by her loved ones, celebrating milestones, sharing meals, and enjoying the simple moments that meant the most to her. She adored her dogs, loved shopping, and found joy in playing bingo and attending Moose Lodge functions. A proud member of the Women of the Moose, Yvonne devoted time to supporting Mooseheart Children’s Home, an act of service that brought her deep fulfillment.
Yvonne had a lifelong admiration for Elvis Presley and delighted in collecting Elvis memorabilia. She also enjoyed traveling, especially her unforgettable trip to Las Vegas with her husband Henry to celebrate their anniversary.
Yvonne’s warmth, humor, and generous heart will be deeply missed. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and that her legacy of love endures in every life she touched.

A Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, on December 8, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with a Prayer Service AT 7:00 pm.
The Chapel Service is scheduled for December 9, 2025, at 10:00 am, also at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home with Entombment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
There will be no formal procession. The family kindly asks all friends and loved ones to meet directly at the cemetery. A roadmap and additional details will be provided by the funeral home.
