In addition to his accomplishments in commerce, Zeb was a devoted and beloved family man who put a smile on the face of everyone he knew. Zeb was a member of Temple Beth-El, Temple Brotherhood, B'nai B'rith, and an active supporter of numerous charities. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of more than fifty years, Mickey.
He is survived by his son, Ronald Tannenbaum and wife, Connie; daughter Leslie Axelrod and husband Nathan; Grandchildren Lauren Tims and husband Scott, Sarah Gilligan and husband Jeff, and Samuel Tannenbaum; Great-granddaughter Gabriella Garcia; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations on his behalf, and in his honor, to the Cancer Therapy Research Institute of San Antonio, or a charity of choice.
