Anthony's passion was boxing, and he spent years training, starting when he was a young child. He poured that passion into his sons, training them to be the best they could be. Anthony also trained other close relatives—his nieces and nephews, cousins, and any family member who might want to step into the ring. Anthony's passion for the sport will be carried on by his family, and the next generation will carry on his legacy.
Anthony is survived by his sons, Anthony Esparza III and Andrew Esparza; parents, Elizabeth and David Leon; sisters, Jessica Beasley, Lisa Morales, Diane Esparza, and Sarah Esparza; brother Angel Leon; Grandmother Margaret Limon; countless nieces and nephews, Tias and Tios, cousins, and other family and friends who cherished him.
