Carey Allen Stockton, age 60, was a lifelong resident of San Bernardino, California. He passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022. Carey was born March 25, 1961 to his parents, Evelyn and Guy at St. Bernardine Hospital. He received his education at Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis, MN and he returned to his hometown to build his family and career. He married his wife, Susan, on August 15, 1987 at Our Lady of Fatima Church and they were blessed with 34 years of marriage and three children, Timothy, Sheila and Rebecca "Becky". During his career, Carey worked for the San Gorgonio Girl Scout Council in Redlands; the Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino; and most recently as a maintenance and construction worker for the San Bernardino Flood Control District. He was also an active member in a few clubs, including the Western Antique Power Associates (WAPA) where he attended tractor shows and displayed his very own restored tractors. He was also involved with the International Harvester Collectors and the Friends of Regional Parks (FOR Parks). He was a volunteer with FOR Parks in which he volunteered with San Bernardino County Regional Parks and Recreation Department's Jr. Fishing workshops and taught children to fish. He loved being around people and kids; but not more than being with his wife, Sue and especially his daughter, Becky! Carey and Becky had a very special and unique bond like no other Father and Daughter! These two loved each other beyond measure and Carey would do anything for her and vice versa. Whenever Carey was outside, which was often, Becky would always be nearby helping, but mainly "supervising" her dad. Carey loved tinkering with his antique tractors, doing yard work and various odd jobs around the house. Becky was always there to lend a helping hand and hang with her dad. Outside was Carey's happy place!
Carey was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Guy; his daughter, Sheila Renee; his parents and his brother, Daniel Stockton. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his precious daughter, Rebecca "Becky"; his sisters, Ruth Stockton and Sarah (Kent) Murphy; and his many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
All services will be held at Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery in San Bernardino. The visitation for Carey will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM with the Rosary at 6:30PM.
