

Bob Hamlin was born March 2, 1929, in Maywood, Illinois to Walter F. Hamlin and Mildred May Hamlin. He was a Korean War Veteran. He moved to California in 1967, settling first in Cherry Valley and moving to San Bernardino at his current address for the last 45 years.
He was employed in Cemetery Sales and Management at Mt. View Cemetery of San Bernardino, Lincoln Memorial Park in Portland, OR, and Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, CA. Retiring in 1994; he developed his own Cemetery Brokerage with his wife as his partner.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Taylor) of the family home, and 5 sons, Charles R., Jr., of Pontiac, IL; Jeffery (Angela) of Escondido, CA; David (Mary) of Redlands, CA; Brian (Christy) of Yucaipa, CA; Bradley of Corvallis, OR and one daughter, Jennifer Bicking (Chip) of Sedona, AZ, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive him.
Visitation is at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 E Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404 in the Fireside Room on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm. Chapel Service will be at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11am followed by Committal at Montecito Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Braille Institute, 70251 Ramon Rd, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270 in remembrance of Charles R. Hamlin.
