

Ms. Felicia Okolo was born on 20th September 1959 in Burutu, Delta State, Nigeria, to Chief & Mrs. G. O. Okolo. She attended St. Mary’s Primary School, Ibusa, where she won numerous awards in the state acrobatic competitions, and Burr Primary School Isele- Uku, Delta State, Nigeria. She proceeded to Mary Mount College, Agbor , Delta State, Nigeria, where she obtained her West African School Certificate.
She taught for about six months before proceeding to the School of Nursing, University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City, Nigeria, where she obtained her Nursing/Midwifery license. She also had a Post Basic training in Pediatric nursing in the same institution and eventually worked there for seven years. She later transferred to Irrua Teaching Hospital, Edo State, where she worked as the Head Nurse in the Antenatal department and later became the head of the Pediatric unit. She was promoted to the post of acting Chief Nursing Officer, the position she occupied for some years before she left for the United States of America in 1997.
In the USA she obtained her nursing license and worked in various hospitals. Her quest to become an authority in her profession led her to pursue and obtain a Bachelor’s degree in nursing at the university of Phoenix, Ontario, California. She retired from the nursing profession after working at Patton Hospital in 2015. She was involved in various organizations by donating her time and resources to assist the needy in Nigeria and USA.
Felicia was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, cooking and shopping. She was a devoted Christian and loved praying. Hopefully she’s resting in peace with the Lord. She will be missed by all who knew her. Felicia leaves to cherish her memory , loving brothers, sisters, many nieces and nephews; and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
