Jack "J.R." Hinkley

Age 76, a lifelong resident of California died of natural causes on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the V.A. Hospital, Loma linda, Ca. Jack was born in Hollywood, Ca. July 11, 1935 to Estelle Hinkley and Walter Hinkley.

He was preceded in death by his mother-Estelle; father-Walter; step-father, Warren Jacques; his brother Walter (Pat) Hinkley, sister-in-law, Isabelle Hinkley; brother-in-law Carl Builder; son, James Scott Hinkley and his first wife Kathleen Hinkley.

He is survived by his two sons; Terry A. Hinkley (Connie) and Jeff E. Hinkley (Sonia), grandchildren Cory (Lauren), Tyler, Heather, Roger, Chad; great grandchildren, Gavin, and Leah; his sister Sally Builder and several nieces, nephews and his very special dog, Bimbo.

Jack was an Army Veteran and later worked at Hughes Aircraft for 11 years, in Tehran Iran 1973 & 1974. Upon returning to the U.S. he started in his own general contracting company with his wife Nancy; retiring in 1998.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Mt. View Mortuary Chapel, 570 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino. Interment will be private at Riverside National Cemetery.
