

Julian served in the United States Navy from 1956 – 1960 where he was assigned on the USS Mathews, (AKA-96) Andromeda-class attack cargo ship. While assigned to the 7th fleet's amphibious force, Julian participated in squadron and fleet exercises in Japan and the Philippines. He also completed Westpac deployments in 1958, 1959, and 1960.
After leaving the US Navy, Julian worked for the Santa Fe Railway & Kaiser Steel Companies as a machinist and welder. He then joined the San Bernardino and Colton Police Departments and ultimately became a permanent member of the Palm Springs Police Department in 1969, retiring in 1993.
Julian was born January 9th, 1937 in San Bernardino, California, the son of Roman and Delfina Gutierrez Razo. He graduated from San Bernardino HS. Julian married Angelina Fraijo on January 7th, 1961 in San Bernardino. He is survived by his wife Angie, and brother Valentine Razo. He leaves behind children Annette and Olivia, grandchildren Nyssa and Nicolas, great grand baby on the way and daughter in laws Jamie and Catherine. Julian is preceded in death by his son Steve, parents Roman and Delfina, brothers, Innocenzo Razo, Ralph Razo, James Razo, Anastacio Gonzalez (step-brother) and sister Andrea Miranda.
Julian was a member and the Chaplin for the Fraternal Order of Eagles in San Bernardino, California.
Funeral service for Julian will be held Monday, October 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. A committal service will occur Monday, October 6, 2025 from 2:15 PM to 3:00 PM, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404. A visitation will occur Monday, October 6, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA 92404.
