December 19th, 1959 – December 27th, 2020
Linda Margaret Stephens was born to Jerome and Lydia Stephens in Orange County, California as the youngest of four children and only daughter. After her father passed away during her teens, she moved up to Running Springs in the San Bernardino Mountains with her mother and one brother where they ran a deli and eatery as a family. She graduated from Rim of the World High School in Lake Arrowhead and attended San Bernardino Valley College and Cal Poly Pomona for kinesiology/sport’s medicine while working mostly as a waitress. She then met her husband Paul Christopher Ehe (Chris) at a popular restaurant in Running Springs and they later married in 1984. Linda birthed and raised 3 sons and supported her husband in operating a family-ran private land surveying business.
Linda was very active in her children’s schooling and extra curriculars like sporting teams and youth group/Sunday school, even coaching AYSO soccer for all 3 boys. She was a member and 2-term president of the local Lake Arrowhead Community Republican Women Federation (LACRWF), where she engaged in or planned many events to address socio-political issues, support the troops, or raise money for scholarships to local graduates. She was known for her attention to detail, work ethic, devout faith, strong values, and passion for her convictions. Linda is survived by her husband Chris; sons Paul, Matthew, and Lucas; daughters-in-law Ariel and Rachael; grandchildren Matthew, Andrew, and Arianna; corgi Reagan; brothers Jerry, Brian, and Richard; and many brothers/sisters-in-law, nephews/nieces, and friends that she deeply loved and cared for!
Linda will be cremated, and there will be a service for immediate family only initially, with a larger celebration of Linda’s life planned for later in spring/summer if COVID conditions permit. Her remains will be held in a columbarium at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church in Lake Arrowhead, Ca, where she was an involved member of the church that she loved and raised her family in.
