

Margarita Guzman, 82, of San Bernardino, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 10th 2025, three months after being diagnosed with cancer. Margarita was born on September 26, 1943 to Geronimo Beltran and Justina Mora in Atengo, Jalisco. She was the 9th of 10 siblings. Margarita had been a resident of San Bernardino for over 50 years. She was a devout child of God and her life was blessed because of her infallible faith.
In 1961, she married Guadalupe Flores Andrade. They went on to have 4 children. Elia, Juana, Maria, and Emma. In 1972 both Guadalupe and Emma passed away. Now a widow with three daughters and grieving the loss of her youngest daughter, she made the decision to seek new opportunities in the United States.
In the United States she met and married Manuel De La Torre Guzman. Together they had one son, James Guzman. Most notably throughout her life, Margarita ran a successful jewelry business out of several Southern California swap meets. She developed an incredible business sense and combined with her hard work ethic she ensured these earnings provided for her family. She became a widow for the second time in 1991 with the death of Manuel. For the rest of her life, she generously shared her abundance with her family, friends, and church.
Margarita was predeceased by her parents, Geronimo and Justina, her husbands Guadalupe and Manuel and her daughter Emma. She is survived by one sibling, her four children, Eliazar Flores Rodriguez, Juana Flores Andriano, Maria G. Flores, and James De La Torre Guzman as well as nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
