Mary Grace Mendez

Mary Grace Mendez, 67 passed away on July 16, 2011 at St. Bernadine Hospital in San Bernardino. Mary attended Sturges High School, in San Bernardino, California graduating in 1960. Her favorite pursuits were gardening, playing backgammon, and fishing. Mary enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Her favorite vacations included, Las Vegas, and San Diego. Mary was a lover of animals and cherished her pets Murphy (Chow), Samantha (Rottweiler), Casey (Chow), & Casper (Cat). They were her best friends throughout her life.

She leaves behind son; David Mendez, daughters; Veronica Lopez and Jennifer Garcia, daughter in law; Frances Ruiz, 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Mendez and her grandchild Chris.

Simply stated, Mary was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Mary leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Mary Grace Mendez.
