With heavy hearts and deep sadness, the family of Moses Orona announces his passing. Moses departed this life after a courageous and hard-fought battle in San Bernardino. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Moses is survived by his beloved wife, Lisa, and daughter, Serena Orona (Randy Lopez); his son, Moses “Niko” Orona; and his two cherished grandsons, Anthony Lopez and Henry Lopez. He also leaves behind numerous relatives and extended family, along with the devoted community of Ye Olde Lamplighter and its many patrons, where Moses proudly served as a chef for over 26 years. His dedication, culinary talent, and warm spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Additional surviving family members include Yolonda Ramos, Patricia Moreno, Guadalupe Archuleta, Esmeralda Lukenbill, and Noah Orona.
Moses was preceded in death by his siblings Magdalena Dietiker, Veronica Gabaldon, Yvonne Orona, and Joel Orona.
Moses was a joyful and kind-hearted man who truly embraced life and lived it to the fullest. He deeply loved his family and everyone around him. Cooking was his greatest passion—bringing ingredients together to create meals that nourished both body and soul. Through his food and his generous spirit, Moses brought people together, creating lasting memories for all who shared a table with him.
Moses also loved the Lord and faithfully attended Road House Biker Church, where he found fellowship and community. His faith, warmth, and compassion touched many lives. Moses’ legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone he knew and loved.
