Raul passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, January 3, 2016. Raul was born on February 25, 1928, in Lake Elsinore, California, to the late Enrique Bracamonte and Louisa Ramos Bracamonte. When Raul was a young boy the family moved from Lake Elsinore to San Bernardino, where he met the love of his life, Rosa Flores Bracamonte, to whom he was married for 68 years.
Raul joined the Army and served in the Korean War where he received a Bronze Service Star. Later he served in the Seabees with his brothers, Albert and Tilo. Raul worked for Norton Air Force Base for over 30 years. After retiring Raul and his wife traveled all over the United States in their fifth wheel enjoying the sites along the way.
Raul had a passion and love for horses, which included spending weekend rides with his brothers. He also loved the great outdoors and playing keno, especially at Pechanga. However, his greatest love was being surrounded by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Raul knew he was a man of great honor, integrity and wisdom.
We will all miss him immensely, but he will forever be in our hearts.
