

Steve was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. Steve was born on August 3rd, 1933 in Phoenix, Arizona to Geronimo Miranda and Maria Valdez.
After enlisting in the Marine Corp in 1950 at the age of 17, he served in the A17th in Korea during the Korean Conflict, earning numerous service medals and a purple heart. After his enlistment ended, Steve married the love of his life, Mary Carrillo. They were married for over 60 years until her passing in 2015. They raised their 3 girls and 5 boys together in the family home in Bloomington California.
Steve held various jobs throughout his life, including Military Policeman, Real Estate Broker, Job Counselor, and Juvenile Counselor in the Juvenile Detention Center of San Bernardino County Probation Department, a position he held for over 20 years until his retirement in 1988.
Steve was an active bowler for most of his life. He and Mary regularly attended reunions all over the United States for Korean War veterans. He enjoyed coin collecting and catching up and sharing positive posts on facebook with his extensive friends list, which included local elected officials who often stopped by his home to take selfies with him. Steve was a member and supporter of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fontana.
At the time of his passing, Steve is survived by his brother, Damien Miranda of Bakersfield California, his sons Ronald and Lawrence, his daughters Lisa (Williams) and Leeana (Diaz), 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, all of whom will miss his special prayers he regularly shared each Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM at Mt View Cemetery on January 11th, 2023
