Sum Hang (Hol), age 85, (January 1, 1931 - October 31, 2016). A beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather. He and his wife, had six children, and fourteen grandchildren. Sum was a very hard working man from rice farming to working in a clothing factory but most of all a dedicated Buddhist monk.
In early age, Sum set out to the temple where he ordained as a teenager. By the time he was 21 years-old he became the full oath (Biku). But by the age of 33, Sum had returned to a normal life.
He worked from dusk until dawn on a 10 acre farmland to support his family. Upon arrival to the United States of America, Sum's honorary work in a clothing factory would then prove how determined he was. A man with courage to provide for his family.
Sum Hang (Hol) was not only a great Father, but an inspiring teacher to all of his grandchildren who carry his Legacy.
