He was born in San Diego, CA. We lived in a little house in Ramona where we lived until he was almost 7 years old. During this time I knew I already knew I had an amazing son. Even at age 3 he would open the doors for older ladies, he could put together a puzzle meant for a 5 year old at age 2. He was incredibly smart, and compassionate. He excelled at school and at making friends. It was nothing to walk out into the living room and find all the neighborhood kids with Tim playing video games, from age 2 to 14. EVERYONE loved Tim.
Because of him we moved to Hesperia. We had the opportunity to move for another teaching job for my husband. He would throw up his little arm and say “Whoever wants to move raise your hand”. He later said he really didn’t want to move here forever, he just wanted to see what it was like to move…thanks Tim…But it proved to be the best thing we ever did.
We did all the things families do, the kids played soccer, went to movies, went to Church. Our lives were busy with all those things. He went to Hesperia High with Leanne and Bill, his father the Athletic Director during those years. I used to say, “If there is an earthquake I only have to go there to be with everyone. He became Frosh Class President. He played varsity golf for four years was made Captain by his junior year. He excelled in academics, always getting a 4.0 or above.
He graduated in 2000 as one of the Valedictorians and received a scholarship at Long Beach State in the Presidential Program. He earned a Bachelors degree in Science in Psychology and earned a minor in Physics in 2009. (He said he chose that one just to show off)
He took some time off and then went to Culinary School, which he loved, but not so much being in the field. He soon left that profession and ultimately went to work at Relay Health where he hit his stride. He was a product manager and said he worked harder there than at anything in his life.
But besides all of the particulars, he was so loved and loved so. He was a light that shown from the time he was born, and it was so sadly snuffed out this Sept 7. I cannot even imagine a life without him, so know we will grieve more than we probably already have but we are thankful that I will see him again one day in what can only be described as Heaven.
He is survived by his Father Bill Pittsford, Mother Emily Pittsford and his sister Leanne Pittsford. The funeral is being held Saturday 10:00 at the First Baptist Church at 9280 Maple Ave Hesperia. His body will be laid to rest on Sunday at 10:30. At Glen Abbey memorial Park Bonita Ca., in San Diego County.
Arrangements under the direction of Mountain View Mortuary, San Bernardino, CA.
