

Agripino Agustin Alegado, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family. He was a kind soul who always put others first, with such a welcoming smile to all those he met. He had a heart of gold and was known for his quiet demeanor and generosity. He was born in Camiling, Tarlac on June 23, 1948 where he had a simple childhood life in the Philippines. His grandfather, Bartolome would call him ‘Ome’, thus giving him his nickname Omy. He attended Camiling Colleges High School before leaving to attend Mapua Institute of Technology (MIT) where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1971.
After graduation, he joined the US Navy in August 1973 and had a long and fulfilling career retiring after 22 years as a Boiler Technician Chief Petty Officer. He spent 15 years working for Intel Corp. in Santa Clara as a chemical technician before retiring a second time to spend time with his family.
Agripino was preceded in death by his father, Perfecto Cerezo Alegado (deceased 1973) and his mother Crescenia Agustin Alegado (deceased 2002); his brothers Avelino ‘Billy’ Alegado (US Navy-Retired, deceased 2012); Juan ‘Johnny’ Alegado (deceased 2023); his nephew Allan Alegado (deceased 2024); and is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marietta Josue Alegado; his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Eric Sarmiento; his son and daughter-in-law Albert and Kim Alegado; his 5 grandchildren Lucas, Ashton, Rylen, Kaila and Emmalyn; his brother Jesus ‘Jessie’ Alegado with wife, Rebecca, and children, Jereco, Rean, and Tricia; his sister-in-law, Magda Alegado, and children Francis and Lex; his sister-in-law Ellen Alegado and her son, Aries; and his sister, Jaqueline Alegado with husband, Jimmy Cabling, and son, Jean Michael Alegado.
