

Born on October 30, 1982, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Alain was a remarkable individual whose life was defined by resilience, wisdom, and inspiration. Though he faced many adversities, including the loss of his sight in adulthood, Alain embraced his challenges with incredible strength. While this new reality perturbed him at first, his indomitable spirit and thirst for knowledge allowed him to adjust and thrive.
Alain’s curiosity and intellect remained unshaken. Known as a “living encyclopedia,” he became a trusted source of information and insight for his friends, who deeply respected his unparalleled general knowledge. His sharp mind, inspiring words, and ability to engage with the world in meaningful ways touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Despite the obstacles he encountered, Alain’s passion for learning and his love for his family and friends never wavered. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, wisdom, and a life lived with purpose and courage.
As we mourn Alain’s passing, we also celebrate the incredible person he was a man whose perseverance and brilliance inspired those around him. He will forever remain in our hearts.
Alain is survived by his grandfather Bisiya, grandmother Mary, his father John, his mother Lydia, his sisters Aline, Nadine, and Hortence, his brother Jeyson, his nieces Bellerose and Avamarie, his nephew Malakai and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
