Alberta, lovingly called “Bertie” by her closest friends passed away on November 8, 2021. Born in Oklahoma to Isaac and Lillian Scott, her family moved to Southern California when she was 8 years old .
Alberta was very well known in the San Diego area for being an Award-Winning Chef. Her passion was cooking, baking and canning and entering her delicious recipes in Fairs in San Diego County, LA County and the All-American Pie Contest in Florida each year. Alberta was featured in local newspaper articles and even on broadcast television on the Jay Leno Show and Howie Mandel. Alberta also enjoyed traveling in her latter years spending time in Oregon with her family, St. George, Utah and other National Parks around the US.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Gale L Dunbar and son Alec Piasecki. She is survived by Karon Robare of Oregon, and Gail L. Burris of California. Alberta also has many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be on Monday, November 29th at 11am at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego, CA.
