Alehi and I crossed paths in the last few years of her life. Her wisdom and light was rich and vibrant, but her pain was larger. I'm so sorry, Alehi, that the world hurt too much to stay in it. We see you now, in the mischievous grins of our friends, in the beautiful melodies of songs, and in the power of relationships that tell the truth. May you feel us serving your legacy forward in the rich tapestry of truth-telling. Thank you for sharing the days you did with the world.

Dear Sheliza and family, we are all shocked about Alehi's passing.  We pray that Allah keep her in peace. We pray that Allah gives you and the family strength, peace and sabr during this difficult time. While her time with you was short, it is evident from all the messages that she touched the lives of so many people in so many different ways. Her legacy is love, laughter and passion.

A memory of this bright young lady. 
I got to know Alehi through her mom Prior to 2023 school year.  I received a request for a Facebook page and not knowing her - I sent a message. It was a joy to be able to speak with a mom of a future woman cadet. I am a 81JC graduate.  She had many questions and I answered the ones I could. At this time I was able to get who Alehi was. Alehi seemed to be very ambitious and her future was to become a Navy Seal. 
To be 14 years old and knowing that nothing could stand in her way. I knew she would be a great asset to the Corp of Cadets at NMMI. I finally got to meet Alehi in October 2024 during NMMI’s Homecoming. We had a Reception for the Women of NMMI at which women alumni and the women cadets go to sit down and chit chat. Prior to this we were met by the NMMI Choir. What beautiful voices and Alehi was standing tall, front a center. I’m sure by now she excelled in everything she was involved with - choir, Gods Rifle team, speaker, etc. 
Homecoming 2024 was no different- Alehi was excelling in the Corps. She enjoyed everything the school stood for. 
When her mom told me that “her cadet passed away at NMMI” I was taken aback. 
Alehi your infectious smile and have a “can do” attitude will be missed. Homecoming 2025 will hear your name at Silver Taps. 
To her family, friends and classmates my thoughts and prayers go out to You. 
May Alehi RIP till we meet again.

Oh sweet girl, words will never be enough to express how grateful I am to be lucky enough to have you in my life. The memories we made together will always live in my heart. You truly did show me what it's like to have a real friend who loves and cares about you. Thank you for everything.

We will never forget you Alehi. My beautiful friend, I will carry you with me forever in my heart, until we meet again. Thank you for lighting up my life and being the little sister I never had. I love you beyond time and space. I know you are resting peacefully now.

Alehi was a shining star. So smart and intelligent with the most beautiful smile. She loved literature and was an avid reader. I don’t remember her missing a single English Club meeting. She was always there and in our last meeting, she ran for an officer position. The last time we spoke she talked about how excited she was to be in my Senior English class and was asking me about what books she should read for her Capstone essay. She will always burn brightly in our memories and hearts. We will always remember and miss her.

Alehi worked so hard and was so thrilled when she made it into All State. Everywhere she went she radiated joy.

Dear Sheliza and Riaz - I cannot comprehend the loss of Alehi. Grief must have itself around you in every breath, every blink, and every thought.  I hurt an aching kind of hurt for both of you! I wish there were some way to ease your pain or provide  comfort.  I know there is none, so let me merely offer my love and support in any capacity - whether it is just love from afar or something more practical like a “help me think” conversation.  I am here for both of you.❤️

I got to walk with your family in some of your happiest days- and I remember vividly the little girl who sent Elise boxes of her out-grown frilly dresses.  What a generous gesture from one little girl to another.  I remember the jar of $5 bills, and discussions of  vivid stories of our daughters and how to raise them to be amazing humans. I know little of Alehi the last few years - but I know the heart and essence of both of you! She was the best of both of you incredible people and will always be such in my memory of her.

After a college football game, Alehi helped Smith carry the drums back to the bandhall. In this picture, she's carrying two base drums, and she refused to let anyone help and take one.

Alehi and I, as well as some others, worked together to surprise Lopez for her birthday. Someone smeared frosting on her nose.

I remember Alehi growing up so fast! While I was in New Mexico for school, I got to see her and hang out with her a few times. She was always a sweet person. This photo is her attending my M.S. graduation from NMHU. She is my niece and I will always hold her in my heart. Alehi, may you now rest peacefully and know that you are loved soo much!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Alehi, thank you for all your kindness and joy at MDS and Fenton Ranch. You helped me find grade and comfort as I transitioned into a strange new world and I will forever be grateful for you. Alehi! You shined so bright when you presented, what a true gift you had! I'll miss you in the fall for the competition, things won't be the same, but your legacy will live on forever!

Beautiful, contagious smile, intelligent, always respectful, and willing to lend a helping hand. During her time at New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI), Alehi Musani, won the Ruppert-Burton Speech Contest two times in a row 2023 & 2024, participated on the Swim and Cross Country Teams. She was powerful beyond her years, competitive in spirit, challenged to do more than most, she was kind, strong, and loved big. Failing was not an option; and overcame many obstacles in her life. Alehi was a true leader of Character and was a true representation of NMMI's Corp Values: Duty, Honor, and Achievement. Alehi never wanted to fail; her expectations were to achieve her goals by always giving 110%. She was loved by her classmates, staff, faculty, and friends. She made NMMI a little brighter with her contagious smile and her drive to be the best version of herself. She is deeply missed; but her legacy will live on forever on the NMMI campus, in her friends, and in the staff and faculty. Alehi Musani, "I will miss you, your competitive speech presentations, you stopping by to say hello, and your gift at presenting. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts. In the midst of sorrow, find peace knowing Jesus is with you always! Joshua 1:9 "Be strong and of good courage, for the Lord is with you wherever you go".

There are no words that can express the depth of sorrow we feel for your loss.  Alehi's memory will forever remain in our hearts.
