Lee, Kelly, and Marie,
We are so sorry for your loss.  Alex touched so many lives.  He was our Baby Alex too.  With Grandma Diane's almost daily emails, he was very much a part of our lives.  Our days and nights started and ended with thoughts of your beautiful little boy.  We loved the pictures of his beautiful smile and were amazed at the way he battled.  We will never forget him, and we will see him again.

Dear Kelly and Lee:  Our hearts go out to you and Marie and the entire family and support group for little Alex.  We know first hand how devastating it is to loose a child.  Your hearts will mend, and the images of that beautiful baby will bring you comfort.  Godspeed.

Little Alex brought our family so much love during his short life.  We are so thankful that in March, we got to see him, hold him, love him, and I even sang to him.  I told him that Jesus loved him and now he is in His arms surrounded by that love. God bless you and keep you and give you peace.

To my loving neice Kelly her husband Lee and their beautiful little Marie.  May God hold you in his arms always, but especially now during this time of need.  May he guide your family with his  love and give you strength.  Remember that God doesn't give us more than we can handle and that he is always there to hold us up when we don't think that we can take another steps.  Alex is with his great-grandparents and they will watch over him until you meet again.  Now is your time to heal.

Lee and Kelly, I am so sorry for your loss.  I hope you can think back on the time you had with your son and enjoy some of those moments.  I believe things happen for a reason, but sometimes that reason seems impossible to understand.

We pray that the comfort of the Heavenly Father will sustain the entire family and all those who loved little Alex. He has been taken to heaven in the loving arms of Jesus, who will watch over Alex until we see him again when he will have a whole and perfect body, completely free of  pain. In his brief life, Alex blessed more people than many do in a lifetime. We remember his radiant smile, a reflection of God's love.

My sincere sympathy to the entire family. Through Grandma Diane's e-mails we felt like we knew Alex personally. I pray what they learned from Alex's illness will help others to live longer. Alex put up such a noble fight! Now he is with Jesus for eternity. God Bless him and you all.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

We feel like we actually knew Alex through his grandmother Diane's updates, and are deeply saddend by his death.  He was so cute, and clearly such a fighter, despite such terrible odds.
May God bless and give support to his wonderful family whose devotion and care of Alex was truly inspirational.
