

She was married to Gilberto Bonilla on October 1, 1960. She was survived by her children and their spouses, Olivia and Kevin Curley. Rudolofo (Rudy) and Ali Bonilla, Gilbert (Gibby) Bonilla, Rosa and Jesse Correia, and Maria Elena Bonilla-Murphey. She had 9 grandchildren, Timothy Curley, Marcelina Calvan, Thomas Curley, Matthew Curley, Marissa Correia, Alicia Bonilla-Correia, Mark Curley, Jake Correia and Lawrence Bonilla. 8 great-grandchildren, Isabella Curley, Justin Garza, Makayla Calvan, Emmett Garza, Juliana Curley, Mia Calvan, Kevin Curley Jr. and Kira Calvan. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilberto Bonilla, her parents Demetrio and Frances Rubalcaba, her son Andres (Andy) Bonilla, and her son-in-law Marc Murphey.
Alice was number four of nine siblings from Frances and Demitrio Rubalcaba.
Her happiest moments were cooking in her kitchen, she opened her home for numerous family members, she was famously known for her tamales during Christmas time, menudo, homemade tortillas and creating the most perfectly moist cake.
A teacher of mannerisms, she was a homemaker her whole adult life and raised her children and grandchildren in her Lemon Grove home.
She enjoyed playing Bingo either at church or at the casino (but only if she won) with her loved ones as well as watching television in her home supporting the San Diego Padres, former San Diego Chargers and any college softball.
She was a dedicated member of Saint John of the Cross church and kept her faith in God.

A viewing and rosary for Alice will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Goodbody Mortuary, 5027 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. John of the Cross, 8086 Broadway, Lemon Grove, CA 91945. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, 4470 Hilltop Dr, San Diego, CA 92102.
