Alice Fonseca Barata Teixeira March 23, 1921 - February 18, 2016 Point Loma is saddened by the loss of longtime resident Alice Teixeira. Alice and her husband John, who preceded her in death, immigrated here in 1967 with their six children: Carlos, Fernando, Margarida, Adriano, Luis, and Anabela. She also had eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Alice will be remembered as a woman of tremendous faith. After arriving from Island of Faial Azores, Portugal with her family, Alice worked as a Nurses Aid and Laboratory Technician. She was a dedicated and active member at St. Agnes Church.
