To Amado's family,
I don't need to tell you how amazing he was, nor how much he will be missed. My father and I had many adventures and traveled all over the world with him. In Kuwait, he tried to convince the bakery workers that I was a jordanian sheik and he was my body guard. In the Netherlands we crashed a town festival driving the wrong way through the streets... My father and I will cherish his friendship and, for me, his advice. I wish you all the best and hope that you find solace and comfort in this time. Until next time, my friend.

You try to think of that one meaningful memory to fit 2000 characters, that encompasses the lifetime my Uncle Amads gave to me, and in all honesty, it is hard. My uncle Amads meant the world to his family, my family, me. He is the godfather you imagined was just fairytale until you are lugging the 1olb ham you just got as a christmas bonus from your job at UCSD through San Diego's public transportation system,  so you can drop off at the Ollero house and he sees you 2 miles away from the house hobbling down the street and he rescues you just in time. He is the uncle that didn't buy my love through money but through bowls of rotisserie chicken chicken adobo (don't tell the filipinos) and filipino teleseryes. It was during my time living in San Diego when I grew closer to my San diego Ollero family: Tita Amie, Kuya Amar, Apie, and my Uncle Amads. They were MY family and home; taking me under their wing, listening to my stresses of school, being my support system. I appreciate the time I was given to learn from him, to grow with him, to spend. Today, on his birthday, we celebrate our memories of how he loved, of how we can never forget his smile, and how his spirit lives forever just like his super computer he built himself.   I miss him so much and cannot wait until we see each other again. Rest peacefully, Uncle Amads.

You were always so loving and welcoming whenever we came to visit that your place was like our home away from home. I always cherished talking to you about random things, whether it be about football or whatever you had going on in your garage at the time. I was also very fortunate and thankful to have gone fishing with you and share your love for it.  You were such a passionate and intelligent man and I am blessed to have had you be a part of my life. You were a great father to April and Amar, and a loving husband to Tita Amia. I pray that you are resting with God and hope that we will see each other again someday. My deepest sympathies and prayers for strength to the Ollero Family.  Rest in Peace Tito Amado.

Amado was very thoughtful as a child but he also had a playful and funny side to him. He was curious and inquisitive and was always looking for something to do in the house. I will surely miss him and will always cherish all the memories I had of him. Go little brother to God’s embrace and May you find eternal peace in heaven together with Lolo, Papa, Mama, Lourdes, Jun, and Sarah.

Amado is my younger brother ( 7th child of 9 siblings) my fondest memories of Amads was of him being a very curious and inquisitive child. He plays with tools and tinker around the house .Always caring , helpful and never complained . In his senior year high school Amado was a Corps Commander in military training he stood tall and proud but being an engineer suit him best . Also an ace swimmer . I will surely miss you my little brother. You are not alone Papa, Mama, Lolo and Lourdes will be there to welcome you.. On October 16 the family will celebrate your life , you are home with the Lord! Rest In Peace ..... till we meet again!

My heart and prayers go out to the Ollero family. April's father will remain in my memories as one of the most amazing, intelligent, hardworking dads I've met in my life. I remember him having cool engineering projects going on in their garage the times I visited their home, and I remember April inviting me out to go deep sea fishing with them. I always thought wow, what a loving and inspiring father who knows how to spend quality time with his family while keeping up with his career. It's so evident from seeing April and Amar how much time, care, and love their father spent on them. You made a powerful impact on this world - thank you - please rest in peace Mr. Ollero.

Mano Amads I love you so much big brother and Happy birthday! Enjoy your birthday with our loved ones in heaven. Rest In Peace. Till we meet again.


Sung and I send our condolences to Amie and children, as well as all of Amado’s family. I first met Amado when our family returned from living in Japan in 1992. Amado and I became quick friends and for the next many years worked together.  Amado was one of the best engineer’s I have ever worked with in my career. He was also a good decent man who very much loved his family, loved people, and was a very good friend. I will miss him very much as I’m sure all who knew him will. Rest In Peace my friend.

My condolences to Amados wife Aimé and their kids. Amado and I started as coworkers, then after he came back from Japan, worked for me in my branch. He was always very jovial and happy, proud of his family, and of the work he did. I was privileged to have known him and having him as a friend.
