Dear Patty, Laura and Maggie, I am so very sorry to learn that you all have lost this wonderful man in your life. I have so many great memories of Tony from my days as a Gamma Phi at Drake U. where he was a "Moon Man." What a true and loving soul he was to all! I know there were many times he provided me with a shoulder to cry on -- and made me laugh. I will never forget tooling around in that yellow MGB of his. To Tony's family, my name is Celia Reid-Trujillo and I knew Tony while we were students at Drake University.  Here is what I posted on our Drake Gamma Phi Facebook page this morning after I found out about Tony's passing:  It with a sad heart that I inform my sisters that we recently lost one of our favorite Moon Men. Tony Kingkade passed away in San Diego on February 4, 2014. He was a brilliant pharmacist and leaves behind his wife and two daughters. For some reason this morning I thought about him, remembering the fun times we shared together, so I looked him up. I didn't expect to find out that he was gone, but I will always recall him fondly for his sense of humor, intelligence and kindness to all he knew. My heart goes out to his family.

We are so sorry to hear about Tony's passing.  We were friends in college and unfortunately did not stay in touch.  Our thoughts are with your family.

I will truly miss you Tony. So saddened to hear this news. My condolences to your family. I always challenged you on pharmacy law, and you time and time again you proved me wrong. I am so sorry to hear of Tony's passing.  I'm his sister's friend so knew Tony as a child and teen. Many fun times with Dan and Tony and their film making. Tony was my favorite pharmacist ever when he worked at Drug Mart in Des Moines.  So many good memories of Tony.  I am so sad and so sorry for your famiy's loss

You will truly be missed.  From the early days at Drake, life at the Hog Cabin, trips to Florida at spring break.  The big move to San Diego.  A wedding to remember with your wonderful bride Patty.  Two beautiful daughters..Laura and Maggie. Growing our families together. What a fantastic ride it's been.

 Many days enjoying the spectacular weather here in San Diego and remembering the frigid but equally wonderful times in Des Moines.  Our lives and families will forever be linked together. Not a day passes when I don't thank my lucky stars for having you as my friend, best man and fellow pharmacist. Our lives have been enriched because of you and your family.  We're forever proud to have known you as well as Patty, Laura and Maggie.

Nothing brought him more happiness than his girls. When he told us stories of his girls, his eyes lit up. He adored them and put his family above all else.
