Brooke Elizabeth Hebert, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away unexpectedly on June 9th. Brooke's life was a radiant testament to all who knew her love, kindness, intelligence, sense of humor, and love of animals and she touched everyone with her warm and generous spirit. Her absence leaves an indescribable void in the hearts of many.
Brooke was born on September 29th, 1997, in Portland, Oregon, and from the very beginning, she brought joy and light to everyone around her. She grew up in San Diego, California where she attended the French American School, Torrey Pines High School and High Bluff Academy. She started dancing and singing at a young age and performed in many dance recitals and musicals. Brooke had a generous heart and spent time volunteering at the Helen Woodward Animal Center and serving food and entertaining seniors at the West Senior Wellness Center and was a member of the National Charity League. Brooke attended Texas Christian University and graduated with a BS Degree in Nutritional Science. She interned in Sports Nutrition and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She later worked for Stretch Labs and as a Nutrition Counselor for Oasis MD. Brooke touched everyone who knew her. She filled her days and time with family, friends, passion for movies, love of animals, and making her favorite recipes. Her compassionate spirit was evident in everything she did. Brooke was a loving daughter, a cherished sister, and a loyal friend. Her infectious laughter, thoughtful nature, and boundless generosity will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She leaves behind her parents, Jim and Rhonda Hebert, sister, Brianna Hebert Garelick, brother in-law, Jeffrey Garelick, niece, Collins Garelick and a large extended family, as well as friends who were like family to her. Brooke's legacy of kindness, her sweet spirit, and her unwavering love for those around her will continue to inspire and uplift us.
A celebration of Brooke's life will be held on Friday, June 21st, 11:00 am, at St. Therese of Carmel Catholic Church in San Diego. All who knew her are welcome to attend and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Helen Woodward Animal Shelter, in Brooke's honor (https://my.animalcenter.org/BrookeHebertMemorial).
Our hearts are broken, but we find solace in the countless beautiful memories we shared with Brooke. She will forever remain in our hearts, a shining beacon of love and light.
Rest in peace, Brooke Elizabeth Hebert. You are deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
