

Lynn is survived by her children, Gregory and his wife, Heidi, Diane and her husband, Mark, her youngest son, Junior; siblings Teresita Barinque, Connie Mendoza and Jerry Barinque; her six grandchildren, Nicole, Megan, Zoey, AJ, Jordan and Sydney. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio M. Taal, father & mother Ildefonso & Consuelo Barinque, and siblings Alfonso Barinque and Carmen Dagdagan.
Lynn was born on September 14, 1937 in Manila, Philippines to Ildefonso & Consuelo Barinque. She graduated from University of the Philippines with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She married Greg, her high school sweetheart, in 1962 after being reunited in the United States. After moving to New Jersey, Lynn began working for Margaret Hague Hospital as a Registered Nurse. Over a small period of time, the couple welcomed 3 children into their home. Her children remember her as a driven mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
Lynn was an accomplished nurse delivering babies of celebrities and taking care of some of the sickest newborns. For over 30 years, her life was dedicated to taking care of people. Lynn was also a great dancer and piano player. At many family gatherings, she would pull up to the piano and start playing her favorite tunes like the “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” and Beethoven’s, “Fur Elise.” She could also be caught doing the “twist” on many occasions, even up until her last days.
A visitation and rosary service for Carolina will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Chapel, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A funeral service will occur Monday, August 5, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. A graveside service will occur Monday, August 5, 2024 at 1:00 PM at El Camino Memorial Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, CA 92121. Celebration of Life reception will be held after the graveside service at Natsumi Buffet, 7040 Miramar Rd, San Diego, CA 92121.
