Cecilia Abulencia Yabut

Our mom lived life to the fullest; she had 5 beautiful kids, Christine, Caroline, Cheryl, Rucell and Chona; 14 grandkids, 4 great grandkids and the love of her life, her husband, Ruben Yabut, whom she was married to for 55 years.

Cecilia was born in the Philippines and migrated to United States. She devoted her life to her Family and Faith. She was the best mom ever, so kind, polite and always prayed for our family and friends. She was so compassionate, passionate, giving and impacted them with her presence.

She started work in the US around 36 years old, as a assembler, making $2.10 to start and worked at several places such as Scientific Atlanta, General Dynamics and her last employment of over 25 years at General Atomics, which she was the 65th employee hired of a growing company. Today there is more than 15,000 employees and probably more to date. She loved her work and had so many stories that has been told to her children, to pass down. She was 78 years old when she retired.

Our mom was 80 years old when she passed, During the Covid, she stayed home but thankfully, she was able to stay with me and my brother Russ. We were able to have my siblings and many of my moms grandchildren, come over and spend days with out fear. She had so many hobbies, loved to sew, knit and cook. All in which my brother and sisters have learned.

We are truly blessed and thankful for our mom, and I speak for my dad, the woman who gave him his beautiful kids and loved him with all her heart and soul.

We will miss you mom, watch over us. ❤️ We will take care of dad. Rest and enjoy Heaven. ❤️ We love you always! Our angel up in heaven❤️
