Evelyn Allison was born on April 26,1945, in Oxnard, California, to Johnnie M. Neal and John Miles. On January 13, 2026, Evelyn peacefully departed her physical body, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family that will continue for generations.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Roy, Carolyn, and her dear friends, Joyce Rawlings and May Brown. She is survived by her loving siblings, June, Chester, Wayne, and Melvin.
Evelyn was the proud matriarch of the Allison family, a role she carried with honor and unconditional love. From her single life, she created many lives and nurtured a family rooted in care, humor, and togetherness. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren, each a testament to the beautiful legacy she built.
Evelyn dedicated 25 years to the NASSCO shipyard, where she worked as a pipefitter, a rare job for a woman, but the job she favored the most was when she worked at Mattel, where she loved bringing toys home to her children.
She is survived by her significant other and lifelong love, Larry Foster, affectionately known as “Mr. Larry.” She is also survived by her children, Terry, Deedee, and Eddie; her bonus child, Rhonda; her siblings, June, Chester, Wayne, and Melvin; and her in-laws, Bill Martin, Carole Clements, Jack Underwood and Rosa Ross.
Evelyn’s love continues through her grandchildren, Gianna, Kahsye, Rita, Kyle, Shawn, Autumn, and Xavier. As well as her great-grandchildren, Mila, Elijah, Luna, Alaya, Maverick, Gunner, Jett, Miller, Ariah, Hiraeth, Kaylani, and Ivory. She is also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was a thoughtful and selfless mother, grandmother, and friend who loved unconditionally. She brought light and laughter into every room, known for her silly jokes, funny faces, and the joy she shared with her family. Her presence was a gift, and her presence will be deeply missed.
From Larry:
“Baby Girl, I love you so much.”
