Fatima was born on March 28, 1966 in San Antonio, Texas to James Sr. and Yolanda Trinidad. Fatima was the eldest of 5 children. Her siblings are Bernadette, Yolanda, Mary and James Jr. Her siblings remember her helping their mother collect wood and twigs, piling them under the big shade tree in the backyard to make a fire to cook with, and carrying well-water buckets from a nearby ranch in Texas. Fatima moved to San Diego at the age of 5. The family settled in Lincoln Acres, where Fatima grew up and attended Lincoln Acres Elementary, Granger Jr. High, and Sweetwater High School. Fatima is survived by her 10 children, Alonso, Michelle, Maricela, Alvia, Salim, Raymond, Benito, Daniel, Annalisa, Angelina, and 11 grandchildren. Her children remember her as a loving mother who's presence "lit up a room", and describe their mother as loving and outgoing with a charismatic sense of humor. She would always give a helping hand to all of those in need. In 2012 Fatima, who was known as Tammy, was lead to Southbay Community Church where she helped the Wednesday Ministry, passing out food and praying for people in the community. She always had a smile for people she met and was friendly to everyone, helping those in need, even through her own health issues. As she helped others, she made a decision to give herself to Jesus Christ and in 2013 Fatima was baptized at J street Marina in Chula Vista, Ca. She had unexpected health issues just months after giving her life to God and was sent into a coma for a few weeks before a miraculous recovery that lead her back to her children and her wednesday ministry, where she continued to serve until her passing. Fatima will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her. Ultimately the family is saddened by the loss of Fatima however, their hearts are at peace knowing that she is with our Father, as shown in verses (1 Thes 4:13-14) " Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
