Francisco G. Papas

Francisco G. Papas passed away on 4/5/16 st Vibra Hospital. He was the husband of Rose Roy Papas. They shared 25 years of marriage together. Born in Philadelphia PA he was the son of Francisco and Florence Papas. He worked at NASCO as a mechanical engineer for 30 years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Church. He enjoyed skiing, hand ball, and running. He was a private person and loved watching sports. He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and later adopted the Chargers. He loved to cook linguini with clam sauce, beer battered chicken and took pride in roasting our Thanksgiving turkey. He loved eating BBQ steak and twice baked potatoes. He drank a martini with an olive and wore Armani suits. Frank did everything with class. He is survived by three step children; Sharon Brown, Gene Lazaro and BJ Lazaro. He had four grand children, Joshua & Danielle Lazaro, Keila Ocampo and Niko Lazaro. Son in law Oliver Brown, daughter in law Andrea Lazaro, Carmine Lopez and Faith Ocampo. He had three siblings; Florence Hedges, Richard Papas and Patty Tully. He had two dogs; Jake and Lucky, and one cat named Ms. Nancy. A viewing will be held on Thursday 4/7/2016 from 4 to 8 pm at El Camino Memorial Mortuary with a funeral service Friday 4/8/2016 at 10 am El Camino Memorial Park 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd, San Diego CA 92121 with interment following.
