GIACALONE, FRANK May 7, 1919 to April 20, 2012 He was born to Antonino and Giuseppina Giacalone, married to Antonina Taranto, who preceded him in death, Frank was the loving father to Anthony Giacalone, Josephine Piranio, and Francesca Shough. Frank is survived by his sisters, Margaret Pisciotta, and Josephine Taranto, his daughter-in-law, Penny Giacalone, and sons-in-law Frank Piranio and George Shough. He was a devoted grandfather to five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Visitation on Wednesday, April 25th, 5 to 7:00 p.m, with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Merkley Mitchell Mortuary in Hillcrest. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Rosary church in Little Italy on Thursday, April 26th, at 10:00 a.m.
