George Gerza was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 22, 1947 to George Gerza Jr. and Mildred Harper Gerza. He had two sisters, Joan Gerza Lubenow and Judy Gerza Fogarty.
George Gerza is survived by his wife of 49 years, Harriet Kakita Gerza, his two sons Eric and Adam, daughter-in-law Jaime and Laura, and 3 grandchildren Carly, Penelope, and Luca.
George served in the Marine Corps for 3 years, including a 13-month tour of duty in Vietnam in 1969. George lived with his family in San Diego for roughly 40 years.
