

Her father was a immigrant from Calabria, Italy and her mother was born in California, of Italian immigrants, as well.
Inez lived in many towns throughout Southern California since her father was a lifetime employee of Southern Pacific Railroad.
Inez met her future husband, John M. Evans while he was stationed in Long beach in the Navy. They were married in September of 1939. Inez accompanied John when he was stationed in Hawaii. As survivors of WWII, on December 7, 1941, she was pregnant with their first daughter, Diane Marie, during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
They continued to raise their family including three additional daughters. Cathy Louise, Mary Lou, and Victoria Anne. They lived for 58 years in their home in Point Loma on Hill Street, extending their household with Inez's parents.
When the idea of a new Catholic Church was proposed to the community, Inez and John were among the first to participate in the formation of Saint Charles Borremeo in Point Loma. Inez and her mother, Angela were avid members of the Altar Society while all four daughters attended the adjoining grammar school.
Inez kept herself busy with sewing, millinery, cooking, baking, and crafts in addition to working in the office of a local OBGYN in neighboring Ocean Beach.
During 68 years of marriage, Inez was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was 94 years old when she passed away on February 19, 2013.
