Irma was born in México on April 29, 1940 to Maria Eugenia Padilla and Eduardo Ceballos. She was the second of nine children. Her younger siblings often speak of how she was a second mother to them since she was often helping her mother with their nurturing.
In her youth, Irma worked as an executive secretary for a large manufacturing firm and she loved her job. She surrounded herself with friends and often enjoyed traveling all over the Mexican republic with them and her young daughter, Angelica. When the family moved to the United States, she worked in the hospitality industry for many years and stopped only to care for her aging parents.
Irma loved to laugh and had a magnificent and sharp sense of humor. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed movies and going to the theater. In addition, of course, she enjoyed watching the Mexican novelas.
Irma is survived by her beloved daughter, Angelica, her sisters Maria Luisa and Cristina, and their youngest brother, Carlos (Rocio) and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that love her very much.
Angelica and her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to their friends who have been an unending source of support, strength and love throughout this difficult time.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Pacific Beach Chapel on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00. A small reception will be held after the service at the same location.
