

Isabel Yolanda Torres, 37, of San Diego, CA passed away on July 10, 2025. Born on July 31, 1987, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, to Jorge and Yolanda Torres, Isabel was a beloved daughter, sister, and godmother whose life was marked by creativity, compassion, and a deep love for her family.
After earning her B.S. in Biology from Austin Peay State University, Isabel joined the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, serving with dedication for nine years. Her commitment to caring for others extended beyond her military service; she was a passionate crafter, expressing her creativity through diamond painting, cross-stitch, crochet, quilting, and puzzles. Evenings often found her immersed in online gaming sessions with friends or rounds of Magic the Gathering, where her playful spirit and competitive nature shone brightly.
Isabel's legacy lives on through the cherished bonds she formed with her family and friends. Her parents, Jorge and Yolanda Torres, along with her siblings and godchild, were the heart of her world. A celebration of her life will be held at La Jolla Chapel 4710 Cass Street , San Diego , CA on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 4pm to 8 pm. Though Isabel’s time was too brief, her spirit lives on in every friendship she nurtured and every piece of beauty she created. May we all carry forward a bit of her magic.
