Jack Barouh was 87 years old when he died peacefully on December 13, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was born in New York, raised in Seattle and lived the past 40 years in San Diego. He was an outgoing man with restless energy. He was a restauranteur, sheep farmer, construction company owner and a landlord, and along the way, he loved to help those he worked with. He was a generous man with a big heart and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by father Morris Barouh and mother Lucille Barouh and sister Gloria Israel. He is survived by his wife Celia Barouh at the family home. His children are Michael Barouh, Iowa; David Barouh, Seattle; Lisa Barouh, Texas. His grandchildren are Andrew Royle, Everett; Matthew Barouh and wife Monica Barouh in Florida and Jenna Barouh, Texas.
Jack also is survived by former wife Mary Evitt, Bellingham. Jack also leaves nieces and cousins and numerous friends.
Memorials in his honor may be made the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders.
Service will be held on 12/30/25 at noon at the Pacific Beach-La Jolla Chapel, 4710 Cass Street, San Diego, CA 92109
