Jeffrey Lee Quigley
Jeffrey Lee Quigley passed away on July 22, 2020, at the age of 71, with his family by his side.
Born on October 9, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to George and Jean Quigley, he was the middle child of five. With George in the Marines, the family moved around a bit in his younger years until finally settling down in National City, California, in the late 1950’s. He attended Sweetwater High School, Class of '66, where he was an All-American Athlete participating in Baseball, Football and Wrestling. It was during this time at Sweetwater where he met, and eventually married, his high school sweetheart and started a family of his own.
Througout his career, he worked his way up the corporate ladder toward management and leadership positions, whether it be a District Manager for Foodmaker overseeing area Jack in the Box units or Director of Food & Beverage for Cap’n Kidds at Sea World and evetually into outside markets or as a Materials and Production Controls Manager at the aerospace company, ASTech Corporation.
As the patriarch of his own family, he instilled in his children a love of country and a pride in his Irish heritage. In his later years, he thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. You could often find him coaching a softball team, or cheering on at a wrestling or water polo match. He was their biggest fan and present at any and all events.
He is predeceased by both his parents, his sister Sharlene, and his brothers Rod and Gary and is survived by his life partner of 20 years, Sara Hutton, his children Sean, Edward and Jean, his grand-children Lanissa, Kaila, Mariyah, Jakob, and Phoebe, and great-grandchildren Adelyna, Annalee, and Sophia.
He will be missed by all but his legacy will live on for years to come.
