John Phillippe Boyle

John Boyle passed away peacefully at the age of 93. He was born in Oconomowoc, WI. In 1927, the family moved to San Diego. John graduated from San Diego High School in 1937 and received his Bachelor's degree at San Diego State in 1941. He served in the US Army during World War II from 1942-1945. John worked 32 years for The City Of San Diego as an Electronics Maintenance Supervisor . He retired in 1982 and enjoyed life to the fullest. His many hobbies included running, golfing, boating and daily mass at the Mission de Alcala ! His gentle nature, quick-witted sense of humor, and his loving smile will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Maureen J. Boyle. He is survived by son James Boyle of Yakima, WA., daughter Danielle Tinsley of La Mesa, CA. (Tony) and daughter Mary Herron (George) of Michigan City, IN, four grandchildren, one great grandchild.

Rosary will be held Thursday September 27th at 6:00pm Goodbody Mortuary, 5027 EI Cajon Blvd. Funeral Mass Friday September 28th at 9:30am at San Diego Mission de Alcala Church, Internment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery following mass. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Nazareth House, 6333 Rancho Mission Road, San Diego, CA 92108.
