Jorge Garcia Hodgers

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jorge G. Hodgers, a beloved father, brother, husband ,uncle, grandpa and friend. Jorge passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born in Nogales, Mexico, and throughout his life, he made lasting memories with all who knew him. Married to his beloved wife Leticia Hodgers.

Jorge had a deep love for the ocean and spent many happy hours enjoying its beauty. His passion for Formula One racing, watches, and his talent for fixing things, were just a few of the hobbies that brought him joy. He loved being well dressed and took longer to get ready than a women does. He also enjoyed playing golf with his family . He loved to travel with his wife and family.He was a true character, known for his sharp sense of humor and ability to brighten any room.

Jorge studied marine biologist and art, blending his analytical mind with a creative spirit. He treasured time with his family, and his five children—Jonathan, Jennifer, Dioseline, Rosendo, Karen and his grandchildren Adeline, Iker and Maxi—were his greatest pride. His love for them knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Jorge will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on in the memories and the laughter he shared with so many.

A memorial service to celebrate Jorge’s life will be held on February 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Pacific Beach-La Jolla Chapel, located at 4710 Cass St, San Diego, CA 92109.
